Jeff Taylor and B. Alex Miller

 

Jeffrey Taylor, AIA

Jeffrey Taylor is a founding partner at TM Light. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Architecture from M.I.T, where he was the recipient of the MIT Murcatt Fellowship. Jeff is a registered Architect in the states of New York and Massachusetts, a role that deeply informs his contributions to TM Light. Drawing on his considerable technical design skills, Jeff leads lighting projects of varying typologies across a multitude of scales.

Jeff was selected as a Design Vanguard winner by the Architectural Record in 2009. He was selected by the Architectural League of New York for the Emerging Voices program in 2011. He has won multiple awards for his architectural work, including Brooklyn Building Awards for Atlantic Gardens in 2008, Architizer Jury Award for Collapsible Workstations (Environmental Grantmakers offices) in office interiors, an Architizer Jury Award for Office>Entropy (Echoing Green offices) in office interiors, and was an Architizer award finalist in bar interiors and retail interiors for Montrose Whiskey Bar and LJ Cross flagship retail store. Jeff has been an invited lecturer at Kansas University, MIT, and Princeton.

Jeff has also collaborated with L’Observatoire International as a lead lighting designer and project director for numerous projects including Hudson Yards with KPF, Steel Stacks Park with WRT Design and NTU Learning Hub with Heatherwick Studio.

B. Alex Miller, AIA

B. Alex Miller is a founding partner at TM Light. He holds a Masters of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Alex provides creative direction for all of the firm’s works as well as acting as lead designer on some of the firm’s most notable projects.

Alex was selected as a Design Vanguard winner from the Architectural Record in 2009. Alex was also selected by the Architectural League of New York for the Emerging Voices program in 2011. Alex has also collaborated with L’Observatoire International as a lead lighting designer and project director for numerous projects including Fondation Louis Vuitton with Frank Gehry, Aspen Art Museum with Shigeru Ban Architect and Art Gallery of Ontario with Frank Gehry.
